Texas Housing Conservancy Named Charity Partner of the Year by Texas Alternative Investment Association

Austin, TX — Texas Housing Conservancy (TxHC), a nonprofit dedicated to preserving affordable housing for Texas’ workforce, has been honored as the 2025 Charity Partner of the Year by the Texas Alternative Investment Association (TAIA). This prestigious recognition celebrates TxHC’s outstanding contributions to community welfare and its innovative approach to long-term housing affordability.

Founded in 2016, TxHC has grown into a statewide leader in workforce housing preservation, managing a portfolio of over 2,800 units across 17 properties and serving more than 4,000 residents. Through its open-ended social impact fund, TxHC mobilizes private capital to secure multifamily housing for moderate- and middle-income Texans—teachers, nurses, first responders, and other essential workers who are increasingly priced out of the communities they serve.

“This award is a testament to the dedication of our team and partners who believe in the power of housing stability to transform lives,” said Monica Medina, President & CEO of Texas Housing Conservancy. “We are honored to be recognized by TAIA and remain committed to expanding access to affordable housing across Texas.”

The TAIA Charity Partner of the Year Award highlights organizations that demonstrate exceptional impact, innovation, and leadership in addressing critical social challenges. TxHC’s model—combining institutional investment strategies with mission-driven outcomes—continues to gain national attention as a scalable solution to the housing affordability crisis.
